Now that the holidays are over, inventory is complete and the house is getting back to normal I'm feeling back in the game. Lots of relaxing & crafting planned this weekend since I'm off the next 3 days. So I warmed up tonight by doing a couple blog challenges... Illustration Friday's theme is soar. How perfect for me I thought since I have a justjohanna "soar" stamp on hand! So I got busy and came up with this...
This weeks
Used a tag I had lying around and walnut inked it, then painted golden medium gel on the tag, added some tissue paper, tore off some of it, added a quote that I painfully tore out of a poetry book (I still feel awful ripping pages out of books), painted the edges with Lumiere paint, added a Prima flower, added some more shimmery paint and a little dimensional glaze, and OH and I used a button, a vintage one at that, see I'm not a button kinda girl so using a button is a "deal" for me.
Then Wednesday Stamper had a Gothic Arch challenge and I have never done one before so I thought I would give it a go tonight. Not even sure if the arch is correct or not lol since I freehanded it.
Used some Bazzil cardstock to freehand the arch on, roughed up the edges, used a couple justjohanna stamps, shimmery white paint, some paper out of my latest Cocoa Daisy kit and the hand is from an anahata spare parts book, then painted Golden gel all over the top for a little glossy look.
Like I said I'm warming up for tomorrow! I hope to do some scrapbook pages if my pictures arrive from Kodak Gallery. I'm currently addicted to making these collage photo pages. I ordered like 10 last weekend so they should be here. As a matter of fact here is a LO I did with one just last week...
It was SO easy because I got to cram all these picture on one page and it still looks pretty good if I do say so myself!
And tomorrow is Lloyd Dobler Friday which hasnt made an appearance on shopgirl for awhile so maybe you'll luck out and get some Lloyd.
Be good.
Wow this is a fantastic arch. Love it.

The 'soar' tag is too adorable...especially that little birdie. And your arch is fantastic. Love how the dark paper on the outside frames the inside...gorgeous. Love the scrapbook page and how you put all those pics together...looks great and the pics are too fun :o)
